Displaying the History List

You can display the History list to return to a recently viewed page or file. The Go menu displays up to seven of the last viewed pages in this session. The Address Bar and the Open History Window command list additional pages visited, including those visited in previous sessions. You can set options to specify how many pages are saved in your History list.

To open a page recently viewed in this session

1. On the Go menu, click a recent file listed above Open History Window.
   
2. If the file or page is not listed, click Open History Window, and then double-click the page you want to open (or select it, and then click Jump To).

To change the number of pages in the History list

1. On the View menu, click Options, and then click the Navigation tab.
   
2. In the History area, change the number of pages that Internet Explorer keeps track of in your History folder.
